Blinds can usually be fitted either inside or outside the window recess. When ordering a blind, you need to decide where you want to fit it and take measurements accordingly.
Sometimes the blind can only be fitted outside the recess. This is the case when:
- The window opens inwards;
- The window is not fitted in straight (varying by more than 1.5 cm on either side), which happens particularly in older buildings;
- The recess is too shallow – usually less than 10 cm deep.
