Wall mounting

HEIGHT:

Roman blind without a valance (e.g. Capri, Duo)

The height of the Roman blind is measured from the top edge of the window recess to the windowsill or the floor. Add approximately 20–25 cm to this measurement, as the fully raised Roman blind occupies around 20–25 cm in height.

Roman blind with a valance (e.g. Padva, Florence)

The height of the Roman blind is measured from the top edge of the window recess to the windowsill or the floor. Add approximately 30–35 cm to this measurement, as the fully raised Roman blind occupies around 30–35 cm in height.

WIDTH:

Measure the width of the window recess and add approximately 10–20 cm. The Roman blind should extend about 5–10 cm beyond the window recess on each side.

Ceiling mounting

HEIGHT:

The height of the Roman blind is measured from the ceiling to the windowsill or the floor.

Please note that when fully raised, the Roman blind takes up approximately 20–35 cm in height, depending on whether it has a valance or not.

WIDTH:

Measure the width of the window recess and add approximately 10-20 cm to it (the roller blind should be wider than the window recess by approximately 5-10 cm on each side).

Window frame mounting

HEIGHT:

Without vent

The height of the Roman blind is measured from the top edge to the bottom edge of the window sash frame.

With a vent

Installation is only possible if the trickle vent is positioned no more than 2.5–2.7 cm below the top edge of the window. The height of the Roman blind is measured from the top edge to the bottom edge of the window sash frame.

WIDTH:

Measure the width of the glass pane and add 4 cm. The Roman blind should extend approximately 2 cm beyond the glass on each side.

Curtain rod mounting

HEIGHT:

The height of the Roman blind is measured from the top edge of the curtain rod to the windowsill or the floor. When fully raised, the Roman blind occupies approximately 30 cm in height with a rod pocket, or approximately 35 cm with tab tops.

WIDTH:

Tab top

Measure the width of the window recess and add at least 10 cm. The Roman blind should extend at least 5 cm beyond each side of the window, depending on the length of the curtain rod.

Rod pocket

Measure the width of the window recess and add at least 10 cm. Please note that the Roman blind should not be wider than the distance between the curtain rod brackets.

Please note that some fabrics may shrink after washing (3-8%). These fabrics show the values by which they can shrink after washing. These values should be taken into account (especially for the width of the curtain).
Even though the width of almost all fabric rolls is 140 cm, we also make wider curtains. In this case, we stitch a piece (or pieces) of fabric. In this case, the fabric report is taken into account so that the joining seam looks aesthetically pleasing. This does not apply to 280 cm wide fabrics.
